RESOLUTION NO. 89-124
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FARMERS
BRANCH SUPPORTING THE INTENT TO TWIN
IN FRIENDSHIP WITH THE CITY OF
GARBSEN, WEST GERMANY AS A SISTER
CITY IN MARCH OF 1990.
WHEREAS, the City of Farmers Branch, Texas, U.S.A. and the City
of Garbsen, West Germany have agreed to twin in friendship as
Sister Cities in March of 1990, and
WHEREAS, both cities support and encourage cultural,
educational and economic exchange between countries, and
WHEREAS, both cities believe this twinning will provide
long-lasting stability to international relationships in all
aforementioned areas, and
WHEREAS, this twinning allows the citizens and businesses in
both communities to expand their knowledge of worldwide customs,
traditions, economic growth and expansion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the city council of the City
of Farmers Branch, Texas that:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby support the
official twinning with Garbsen, West Germany as a Sister
City in March of 1990.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FARMERS
BRANCH, THIS THE 5th DAY OF September , 1989.
