LONE STAR GAS COMPANY RIGHT-OF-WAY
Mayor Airoldi explained to the Council that Mr. John Viglini,
Superintendent of Right-of-Way, and Mr. Joe Scott, Chief Engineer
Transmission, for Lone Star Gas Company, were appearing before the
Council in connection with moving the two gas lines crossing
Rawhide. Creek west of I. H. 35E. Mayor Airoldi in addressing Mr.
Viglini and Mr. Scott stated that the City is improving several
thousand feet of the creek to afford improved drainage for the
City of Farmers Branch and that it is the feeling of the City that
Lone Star Gas Company should move the lines at no cot to the City.
Mr. Scott and Mr. Viglini stated that at one time Lone Star Gas
Company did move transmission lines in right-of-way, however, it
became such a financial burden that they could no longer continue
doing this. They further stated that this right-of-way was pur-
chased by Lone Star Gas Company and if the line were moved by them
the City of Farmers Branch would have to reimburse them.
No action was taken on this matter and after further discussion
Councilman Hamilton moved that the meeting be adjourned, seconded
by Councilman Regan.
