MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF
BOARD OF COUNCILMEN
FARMERS BRANCH, TEXAS
January 12, 1957
The Council met in a special meeting on Vanuary 129 1957 at 2:30 P.M.
at the City Hall with the following present:
Mayor
Councilmen
City Manager
Lawson Lewis
Thomas Reeder
H. N. Mallon
Bayne Gibson
Janes Brodhead
John Wilsey
John J. Gray
COUNCILMAN 3IBSON RESIGNATION
Councilman Bayne Gibson resigned effective January 21, 1957. The
new Gouncilman will be appointed at the next regular council meeting.
The Council agreed the new ®alwood Park area needed a representative
and DeWayne White was suggested. All Councilmen thought this was a wise
choice.
ANNEXATION BEARING
The Council discussed the annexation hearing which will be held
during January 21, 1957 regular meeting.
City Manager Gray was advised to prepare annexation papers for the area

between Addison, Dallas and Farmers Branch at our Northeast boundary.
SALARY & WAGE POLICIES
The Council expressed pleasure at the work the administration and
employees are doing. In order to maintain the good team we have developed
the Council advised the City Manager to establish salary and wage policies
high enough to keep our employees satisfied and insure our getting good
people when we need them.
SALARY INCREASES
The Council unanimously voted to increase the City Managers salary
by $100.00 a month effective immediatly.
The council approved salary raises for Police Officers B. P. Robinson
and T. 0. Standridge from $300.00 to $325.00 a month effective immediately.
The meeting then adjourned at 4:45 P.M.
