the removal of the Missiouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad Company's spur track
across ~ighway#77 into Mr. Roberts' property. Councilman Brodhead seconded
this motion. After a lengthy discudsion for and against the removal of the
spur track, the Council all voted unanimously to remove the track by
Ordinance #138. Mr. Roberts objected to this ordinance because of his
industrial property on the west side of the highway. Mr. Ned Kerr and dlr.
Roberts talked with the council asking their support on more entrances and exits
into the new U. S. 77 Freeway between Valley View Lane and Valwood rarkway.
Mr. Kerr said tiese entrance and exit ramps were necessary to help industrial
development along this new freeway. Councilman Mallon recommended that the
councilmen pledge themselves as the City Council to get the necessary ramps
needed if at all possible.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
