A -egular meeting of the Board of Aldermen was held at
City Hall on September 22, 1953 at 7:30 P.M., with the follow-
ing Aldermen present, constituting a ^uorum:
Mayor Lawson Lewis
Aldermen R. J. F'ni.Yht
H. A. Matcom
`vor Lewis presir'ed, and F. N. Kerr acted as Secretary.
MINUTES:
The Minutes of the September 8, 1953, meeting were
read and approved.
T9JN MARSHALL:
On motion made by Thomas Reeder, seconded by R. A. Marcom,
unanimous approval was given for the acquisition of a siren to
be installed on the car of the Deputy Marshall.
TRAFFIC LIGHT:
On motion made by R. J. Knight, seconded by B. A. Ma.rcom,
unanimous approval was given for the acquisition of a blinker
type traffic li;ht to be installed at the intersection of
Valley View Lane and Old Denton Road.

ANT:
Mayor Lewis was authorized to have Mr. Remsberg of Joe J. Rady
and Company inspect the sewerage plant to determine the extent
of certain needed changes and repairs.
WATER AND SE.dFR PfPROVEMENT:
On motion made by R. J. Knight, seconded by Thomas Reeder,
unanimous approval was given to the payment of engineers' es-
timate No. 1 as out-lined in the Contract dated March 3, 1953,
in the amount of $2,045.58.

Current Bills in the amount of $66.91 were ordered raid.
