The Board of Aldermen met in a special meeting on 0o§ober 11, 19551,
with the following presents

Mayor Lewis called the meeting to order.
SCOUT PUILING
Mr. George Hixon and Mr. Bob Langdon asked the Council if a Boy'and
Girl Scout House could be constructed in the City Park. The Council
referred this to the Park Board.
McGRATH PROPERTY
Mr. M. L. McGrath was present and discussed the question of moving his
house on Highwas 77. The Council agreed if Mr. McGrath wanted to move the
house, he would be permitted to do so.
GRIMM WATER
Mr. Lewis W. Grimm, a property owner just outside our city limits,
asked the Council for approval to get water piped from the city limits to
his home at his expense. On a motion by Mr. Knight, seconded by Mr. Reeder,
the Council authorized Mr. Grimm to get water from our water system provided
he got permission from Mrs. Tompie Dyer to tie into her present 1" line.
If and when this property is annexed to the City, this line will bemaintained
by the City and will become the property of the City.
DAY NURSERY SIGNS
Mrs. H. L. Yarphee met with the Council to discuss having a Day Nursery
on Holbrook Drive. Mr. Blanchette is to check with Dallas concerning this
problem.
ENGINEERS AND CONTRACTORS ESTIMATES
A motion was made by Mr. Mallon, seconded by Mr. Reeder, to pay the current

Engineer and Contractor estimates.
WATER LINE ACROSS HIGHWAY AT VALWOOD
On a motion by Mr. Mallon, seconded by Mr. Reeder, the Council ap-
proved the construction of an 8" water line across Highway 77 at Valwood
Parkway. The line will not be extended on Highway 77 until that section
develops more.
FIRE EQUIPMENT
Fire Chief R. L. Yager was present and presented the prices the Council
had requested. They are as follows:
Tarps - °31.40
ZJ-" hose - 1.50 per foot
1j'" hose - 1.10 per foot

The Council will discus the purchase of these items at a later date.
PAVING ORDINANCE
A motion was made by Mr. Malloh, seconded by Mr. Reeder to accept the
Paving Ordinance No. 75 after Joe J. Rady Company had checked it.
CURRENT BILLS
The current bills were approved for payment by a motion made by Mr.
Reeder, seconded by Mr. Knight.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
