1956-12-03 CC MinutesMINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF BOARD OF ALDERMEN FARMERS BRANCH, TEXAS DECEMBER 3, 1956 The City Council met in a regular meeting on December 3, 1956 at 7:30 P. M. at the City Hall with the following present: Mayor Lawson Lewis Alderman Thomas Reeder H. N. Mallon John Wilsey Bayne Gibson City Adm. Jack Gray City Sec. Naomi Goodnight The meeting was opened by a prayer led by Alderman Gibson. The minutes were read and approved as read. CIVIL DEFENCE Mr. Sam Page met with the Council to discuss a Civil Defence unit for the City of Farmers Branch. Mr. Page outline the program for the Council but no action was taken. ENGINEERS REPORT . "fir. Doc Remsburg of Joe J. Rady Co., Engineers met with the Council and reported that Mr. Rady was studying the report on the TRA. Mr. Remsburg also told the Council that Mr. Bob King would serve as Inspector and Supervisor of the Sewer line tying into Dallas line. Mr. Remsburg picked up the contract for distribution. CAPIAL ACCOUNTS Mr. Gray reported to the Council that Mr. Brod Smith had talked with him about setting up Capital account. The Council discussed this but no action was taken. TRAFFIC SURVEY A discussion was held on the traffic survey and was mentioned that the traffic code and traffic survey be combined for study and make this a complete unit. The speed limit would be lowered all over town in residential areas to a possible 20 M.P.H. a7 'There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. City Secretary 1 r.79
