AGENDA ITEM NO. l.A - DISCUSS AIR TRAFFIC PATTERNS.
A motion by Councilman Wei finger, a second by Councilman Dodd,
all voting "aye", declared an emergency and placed on the agenda
as Item 1.A - Discuss Air Traffic Patterns.
Councilman Weidinger expressed concern of the new proposed route
for departing flights from runway 13L which would bring air
traffic from D/FW directly over Farmers Branch, and could possibly
create noise pollution and interfere with air traffic from Love
Field and Addison Airport.
There was discussion of the need for obtaining more facts regarding
changes in flight patterns and expressing the City Council's concern
to the proper people.
A motion by Councilman Johnson, a second by Councilman Dodd, all
voting "aye", instructed the City Attorney to draft a letter to
all concerned parties expressing the City's concern regarding a
change in the route of departing flights from D/FW that would
