The following members of the City Council were present: Mayor Councilmembers: The following members of City Staff were present: City Manager Assistant City Manager Assistant City Manager City Attorney Director of Parks & Recreation Assistant Director City Secretary Mayor Phelps opened the meeting at 5:02 p.m. Bob Phelps Bill Moses Jim Robbs Calla Davis Charlie Bird Paul Walden Richard L. Escalante John Burke Linda Groomer John Boyle Jeff Fuller Jeff Harting Cindee Peters The City Manager Richard Escalante stated the Planning and Zoning Commission would have a meeting in the Study Session room at 5:30 p.m.. Mr. Escalante suggested the City Council recess and reconvene in the City Manager's Conference Room. Mayor Phelps recessed the meeting at 5:03 p.m. to move to the City Manager's Conference Room. MAYOR PHELPS EXPLAINED THE CITY COUNCIL CONVENED INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION AT 5:06 P.M. AND CONCLUDED AT 6:13 P.M. TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE CHAPTER 51 OF THE OPEN MEETING LAW PROVIDES THAT SUCH ITEMS AS PERSONNEL MATTERS, LAND ACQUISITION AND PENDING AND CONTEMPLATED LITIGATION MAY BE DISCUSSED IN CLOSED SESSION. Volume 84, page 62 EXECUTIVE SESSION. DISCUSS PENDING AND CONTEMPLATED LITIGATION - TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 551.071: 1. DISCUSS PURCHASE, SALE, LEASE, OR EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF FARMERS BRANCH AND PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CARROLLTON-FARMERS BRANCH INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR SCHOOL SITE LOCATIONS AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION. Mayor Phelps stated the City Council would convene into Executive Session at this time in the City Manager's Conference Room. THE COUNCIL RECONVENES INTO GENERAL SESSION. CONSIDER NECESSARY ACTION ON ITEMS DISCUSSED IN THE EXECUTIVE SESSION. Mayor Phelps reported City Staff updated the City Council concerning the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District. No action was necessary. ADJOURNMENT.
