DISCUSS PERSONNEL MATTERS - TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE - SECTION 551.074 DISCUSS APPOINTMENT TO THE REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION COUNCIL. 1 Mayor Phelps and the City Council discussed an appointment to the Regional Transportation Council in open session. The City Council did not convene into executive session. CONSIDER NECESSARY ACTION ON PERSONNEL MATTERS DISCUSSED IN THE EXECUTIVE SESSION. Mayor Phelps called for necessary action. A motion by Mayor Pro Tem Davis, a second by Councilman Moses, all voting "aye" appointed Mayor Phelps to the Regional Transportation Council. CONSIDER ADOPTING RESOLUTION NO. 98-031 SUPPORTING DART'S REQUEST FOR FEDERAL FUNDING AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION. A motion by Mayor Pro Tem Davis, a second by Councilman Moses, all voting "aye", adopted Resolution No. 98-031 supporting DART'S request for federal funding. CONSIDER COUNCIL TRAVEL REPORTS AND REQUESTS AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION. A motion by Councilman Moses, a second by Councilman Bird, all voting "aye", approved travel to Corpus Christi for Mayor Pro Tem Davis to attend an awards ceremony for Park and Recreation member Allan Moore who received Volunteer of the Year. Volume 77, Page 40 CITY COUNCIL BRIEFING BY STAFF RELATIVE TO THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN. City staff and Paris Rutherford of RTKL briefed the City Council on the redevelopment plan. CITY COUNCIL BRIEFING BY STAFF RELATIVE TO THE WEST SIDE SECTOR PLAN AND 2010. City staff made a presentation to City Council regarding the west side sector plan and 2010. ADJOURNMENT.
