1968-05-29 CC Minutes1 1 1 CITY OF FARMERS BRANCH MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING CITY COUNCIL May 29, 1968 All members of the City Council were present: Mayor Robert H. Langdon Mayor Pro-Tem Bill Roberts, Jr. Councilmen George Grimmer John Helms Alma Broadhurst Ed Schedler City Manager J. M. Orman City Attorney H. Louis Nichols Director of Finance J. W. Wade TEMPORARY BUILDINGS - CABELL SCHOOL Mr. Orman reported to the Council that Dr. W. T. White of the Dallas Independent School District has requested permission for temporary buildings at the Cabell Elementary School. After discussion Councilwoman Broadhurst moved approval upon receipt of a letter of agreement from the School District that the temporary buildings will be removed when the permanent building is completed or not more than 18 months from this date, seconded by Councilman Grimmer; Councilwoman Broadhurst and Councilmen Grimmer, Helms and Schedler voting "ayes", Councilman Roberts voting "nay". City Manager Orman was instructed to notify the property owners across the street of this agreement. STATUS OF WATER PROJECT NOS. W-37, W-38 AND W-44 Mr. Bob King, Rady and Associates, Inc., gave a report concerning the status of these projects being installed by: W-37 - Pitts- burg-Des Moines Steel Company; W-38 - Nor-Tex Contractors, Inc.; and W-44 - Tex-Con Utility Contractors, Inc.
