Mayor Airoldi called the meeting to order. Councilman Oradat gave
the invocation.
BIDS ON SUBURBAN FIRE STATION
Mr. John Taylor had sumitted the low bid on the fire station and was
present and stated that a credit of $3,216.53 could be given for
deletion of the parking area and drive-in. Mr. Taylor also reported
that increasing the slab thickness and "sheep-footing" prior to pour-
ing would add $1,149.00. Leaving out the "V" window in front and
substituting a flat window would credit $113.00. For a bay window
Mr. Taylor said the added cost would be $319.00.
After discussion Councilman Regan moved to adopt flat straight plate
glass for the front of the fire station, seconded by Councilman
Tippitt. Councilmen Regan, Hamilton, Rhodes and Tippitt voting "ayes",
Councilman Oradat voting "nay".
Councilman Hamilton moved to award the low bid to Taylor Construction
Company deleting $3,216.53 for parking area and drive-in. Seconded by
Councilman Oradat, all voting "ayes".

DISCUSS VALLEY VIEW LANE RIGHT-OF-WAY ACQUISITION
After discussion by the Council, City Manager Orman was instructed to
have Joe J. Rady Engineers to come up with construction plans on Valley
View Lane from 35E to Webb Chapel Road.

COUNCILMAN TIPPITT REPORT ON WESTERN L-M AREA
After discussion of the western L-M area drainage, Councilman Tippitt
moved to authorize expending necessary funds to accept Mr. String-
fellows cost free easement to improve Rawhide Creek through his
property in exchange for the construction of a temporary culvert
approximately 12 feet wide. Seconded by Councilman Rhodes, all voting
"ayes".
ALPHA ROAD WATER LINE CONTRACT - CITY OF DALLAS
City Manager Orman reported that the contract with the City of Dallas
for the Alpha Road water line (including metering station and engin-
eering) was $93,416.80. Councilman Regan moved to instruct Mr. Orman
to sign the contract with Dallas, seconded by Councilman Tippitt, all
voting "ayes".
RENAMING OF JOSEY LANE
City Manager Orman reported that Twilight Trail had already been taken
by the City of Dallas, therefore, another name would have to be selected
for Josey Lane. Councilman Oradat moved to change Josey Lane to Dennis
Lane, seconded by Councilman Regan, all voting "ayes".
